My granddaughters got really involved!

When I read this book to my 4.5- and 6-year-old granddaughters, they were enthralled. The older one would clap her hand over her mouth during a particularly suspenseful part in the plot, and the younger one, when she was amazed, said slowly, “Wowww.” They both enjoyed coloring the for-the-purpose black-and-white sketchy photo versions of their full-color counterparts. Yes, Cody is a real dog, with a really sweet, adventuresome personality, and the kids loved reading all about his adventures, from CODY’s point of view!

Great Book!

I bought this book for the kids. I thought it was fun, wholesome, and it actually made me happy. It is rare these days to read something that makes you smile, and brings up positive emotions. Thank you Cody and Bob! 🙂

Grandkid tested–crayon approved–easy for siblings to share

When I heard the first three books in the “Cody & Bob” series were available, I ordered all of them–just in time to bring them with me to visit my two granddaughters, ages 4.5 and 6. They laughed with delight as I read to them and we got to the parts where–more than once–Mr. Swan skitted across the pond and then took flight, only to land elsewhere and start the chase game all over again with Cody the dog. The girls were excited that they were given sketchy black-and-white versions of each of the color photos, just for them to color on their own. This worked out especially well that they two of them could either each color half of a two-page subject or else one girl could color the entire one here and the other could color the repeated black-and-white photo at the back of the book. Made it easy to share. I think the girls also took particular pride in the adventure photos they colored, since they tended to look more like art and less like coloring-book thick-line drawings.

A fun dog story.

What a great book. Lots of pics and fun story. It even has coloring pages for the kids!!!!

Loved It!

Thought this was a wholesome story for the whole family. I cannot wait to share it with friends and family!

The girls loved the “Hee-hee!” and “Yay!” exclamations

Trying to avoid too much repetition with my Book 1 review, I’ll be brief. My young granddaughters (ages 4.5 and 6) loved having these read to them. The older girl also enjoyed reading a page or two on her own (with a little help on sounding out the harder words). And both enjoyed coloring the made-to-color black-and-white sketchy-type photos. The “Hee-hee!” and “Yay!” exclamations made by Cody the dog at key points in the plot, were shown in larger, brighter type, so the girls learned to point to them and say the words aloud, themselves, whenever they saw them.

Adorable

Just like Bob’s personality, book is cute and fun. Kids loved it and had fun reading Costs adventure. Looking forward to the next one.
